Western style font in microsoft word

I am only using a Times New Roman font, but when I switch back and forth between versions of Word, the font itself looks different. I have tried highlighting the entire text and changing the font to something else and then back to Times New Roman. However, whatever I typed on Word remains how it was, while whatever I typed on Word remains as it was. Same font; different look. In Microsoft Word and , there is only one Times New Roman font style, it may look different due to it's font size.

We would really appreciate if you can send us a screenshot of both Versions of Microsoft Word with the same content and font size for us to compare it. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. I might have Word at home, actually, and not You can see the subtle difference between the top paragraph and the lower paragraph.

I don't know how to get them to match Can you help us improve? Resolved my issue. Clear instructions. Easy to follow. No jargon. Pictures helped. Didn't match my screen. Incorrect instructions. Too technical. Not enough information.

Not enough pictures. Any additional feedback? Submit feedback. Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. Which is the document default font in the target document, and do you want the pasted text to be formatted in that font? If you are asking what font is set in Firefox, it is Arial 12, same as word. I don't know what font is used in this program -- doesn't seem to matter. I did change these to both merge and text only without effect.

Remember that there were no changes in formatting or settings from yesterday to today when I didn't have this problem By the way, my old computer which has Word version from with the same settings does not have this problem, using the same text from the same website I was referring to the default font in the Word document into which you are pasting.

To be specific, each paragraph style has its own default font. This will remove any direct font formatting and revert to the default font for the paragraph style at the insertion point.

Ultimately, though, what happens when you paste content from an external source depends both on the source and the target applications. I can start with a blank document or paste text between two paragraphs of typed text and it still changes fonts -- A situation that has changed from earlier in the week. Since it isn't browser dependent and happens on several web pages I'm guessing something changed either in a Windows update or an Office update -- both of which I suffered this week.
